heels: Santa Cruz Beach Heel on ModCloth
These heels are my first ModCloth purchase! I couldn't be more pleased. I had read very postitive things on the interweb on the comfort and practicality of Chelsea Crew shoes and these heels are definitely easier to walk in than most. As soon as I put them on, I felt like I was standing on a sturdier platform than usual. Can't wait to wear them with tights, socks, and bare toesies in the months to come!
I procured this dress in a local store from a sale rack for ten dollars. AMAZING! I am drawn to blue hues pretty naturally, but I've been trying to expand from my collection of solids to incorporate more prints into my wardrobe. I love the pattern of stripes and florals!
One and a half weeks left in my final semester. Over the past three months I have written 70 pages of one novel project, two 4000-word short stories, and the first two chapters of a second novel project for a different class. (Who takes a novel workshop and novel form-and-technique class at the same time? This crazy lady.) I am feeling pretty accomplished at that stack of work. The last few months in my program have been a delight - I am lucky enough to engage with the writing of so many talented young artists! And luckier still to count some of them as close and lifelong friends. School has been an invaluable experience, but I'm excited and MORE THAN READY to pull myself out of academics and begin my "real life." Can't wait!

I'm in my last semester too, but we have about a month left. So much work to do! So I understand! I'm pretty ready for getting done with school too, but I decided to just get grad school over with. Hopefully I can tough out two more years!
Also, I love your pretty vintage dress. The colors are great. And your dotted tights are so fun with it.
